Books I’ve Hauled For My 2019 TBR >> 21 Books I’ve Splurged On

2019 is right around the corner and with the Holiday season vibes, I couldn’t help but act as a Santa for myself. So I’ve picked up some books that I’ve always wanted to read but hadn’t added to my TBR. Read on to find some famous titles and some great recommendations by various book bloggers!

This is my fourth list post as part of the #Project14Lists! A little information if you’re feeling like you’ve been kept in the dark:

#Project14Lists is an idea launched by the amazing Shealea over at ThatBookshelfBitch and she had recently tweeted about it. Considering my newfound love for list posts [See: TEN 2019 YA DEBUT NOVELS YOU NEED TO ADD TO YOUR TBR!20 NOVELS RELEASING IN 2019 THAT WILL MAKE YOU OVERUSE THE HASHTAGS FOR COVER LOVE] I didn’t think twice before sending Shealea a DM and deciding to join this project.

Project 14 Lists, otherwise known as #Project14Lists, is a 2-week blogging activity that will run from December 18th to December 31st. Book bloggers are tasked to come up with creative bookish/blogging list ideas, and on each day, write a list and post it on their respective blogs.

  1. Hallo, Hallo Fanna,

I decided to spend New Year’s Eve looking for new book bloggers to follow – new voices in the blogosphere to read and happily I have been finding lots of lovely bookish soul sisters & brothers who are writing content I am appreciating to read whilst giving me a *burst!* of joy finding #newtomeauthors & book recs in genres/literary styles that I dearly wish to be reading!!

I’m following you via WP & Twitter – as a social reader those are my jams alongside LibraryThing 🙂

I mentioned this in a tweet but I’ll mention it here too – I’d be up for some RALs with you & others for these lovelies — I have two RALs in January which continues into February, but then its only one a month from there forward – I’d like to take January as the month to get my feet grounded in those two RALs as their series but say by Feb/March, or any point forward I could buddy read these?

    * Five Feet Apart – ever since I caught the blog tour with the author I KNEW this was going to be one of my future purchase requests @ my library!

    * Illuminae series – I still remember spying this in the #BookExpo feeds on Twitter that year – never had the joy of reading it so that would be keen!

    * Girls of Paper & Fire – I was going to have this as a purchase request too but I think one of the libraries purchased it? I need to sort that out, lol

    * My Lady Jane – unsure if I’m remember the plot of this one right

    * The Jenny Han series – ooh yes! I’d love to finally read those stories!!

    * Air Awakens – looks so interesting, I need to look into that one!

// — I love requesting books through my local library, as it helps expand my regions reading choices but it also gives me a chance to read new authors a bit closer to release if the library hadn’t caught them yet themselves. Otherwise, I borrow through ILL’ing (interlibrary loan) once the book is six months out of pub I’d love to purchase more books myself for my own library but my purchasing budget is in the humble category and I only added a few a year right now.

So in theory, I need a bit of time to get these lovelies but I’d be open to a RAL for them – were you going to host a *thread convo on your blog or a Twitter chat where we could all discuss the story?

    1. Hey there! Thank you so much for this heartfelt comment. I’m so happy I came across your blog and your sweet words about mine are making my day ❤

I would love to buddy read these titles! Since you're busy for Jan 2019, maybe we can discuss at the start of Feb if you're ready to buddy read some of these. I'll be asking on Twitter sometime in that month so maybe keep an eye out there? Or I can personally DM you whenever I'll be finding fellow passionate readers who would love to readalong 😀

Thank you so much for visiting my blog, it really means a lot ❤

      1. Hallo, Fanna,

Yes, I think it would be easier if you DM me the plans your putting together – as that way I can sort out if I can participate and/or fetch the book(s) about to become a RAL. I should be in a good position to join you with that kind of time frame.

I am just returning online this weekend – I nearly relapsed my virus and had to take some downtime to adjust. I am so thankful our paths have crossed & I am looking forward to getting to know you better as much as I look forward to reading your posts! All the praise I’ve given is deserved and I look forward to reading more of your blog’s content throughout this coming year!

  2. Oh this is exciting! I really enjoyed My Lady Jane. I have a copy of Girls of Paper and Fire I haven’t gotten to reading yet. I hope you had a wonderful new year’s day!
