My first book by Roshani Chokshi and it did NOT disappoint! This book was everything I look for in a book: racial diversity, sexual diversity, fast pacing, puzzles, mystery, flirting, humor, a fictional squad that I'm ready to witch-brew to life, and great writing.
Hearts of Resistance by Soraya M. Lane is a story set in the times of World War II that perfectly features, includes and revolves around women. Read my review of this women/historical-fiction.
Read my reviews of three books that didn't meet my expectations: A Mother's Lie by Jo Crow; A Sheikh for Christmas by Leslie North; The Unkillable Kitty O'kane by Colin Falconer
All The Light We Cannot See is the perfect pairing of a realistic fictional story and an imagery ridden writing.
I swear to God I didn't give the ratings for the sole purpose of making them look like a descending pyramid. See my views on three recent titles I've read and the rating along with them.
